Quality Dog Food
What is the cheapest, best quality dog food?
I want a dog food that costs UNDER $30 for a 7 KG bag. I also need to know what store I can get it at (like Zellers or Walmart).
“Cheapest” and “best quality” are mutually exclusive terms. If you have a Costco near you, check out their Kirkland dog food. It’s the only “cheap” brand I’d ever consider feeding. Otherwise, check out the foods here: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/ 4 star and up are of good quality, some of the 3 star brands aren’t too bad. Look for a named meat product to be first in the ingredient list, and at least one other named meat ingredient in the first three. No non-specific ingredients (so chicken livers is good- chicken byproducts is not), no wheat, corn, or soy products.
