Dog Food Recipes Rachel Ray
Rachel Rays Dog Food?
I try to feed my dog top of the line foods such as Merrick, instinct, EVO..ect. It tends to get a bit expensive when you have 3 large dogs that are always hungry! Anyway, we came home late last night, and didn’t realize we were out of dog food, so the only place open was Walmart.. I NEVER buy dog food from Walmart, but I wasn’t about to let me dogs go hungry either. So I searched around and looked at recipes, and the only decent one was Rachel Rays. So I bought a small bad of it, just got tonight and this morning. I hate changing their food so drastically on them, but they seemed to really like it! So my question is, is Rachel Rays dog food a good top of the line chow to feed your dog? I noticed it had some red dye pieces in it, and was thinking of picking them out, since it tends to cause cancer is some dogs. So if it’s safe I would like to change them to that, cause I don’t think they even tasted it this morning when they ate! Thanks!
I wouldn’t, actually. It uses a chemical called menadione, which is thought to cause health problems, including cancer, if fed long-term in dog food. Don’t worry, one or two bags won’t hurt, it’s caused after months and months of tiny, daily doses.
See if you can find either Diamond Naturals or Lassie Natural Way locally. Both are great foods at a good price, and Lassie Natural Way can be found at many grocery stores, so it’s very convenient to buy. Good luck, and have a great day!
