Dog Food Recipes Liver
Does anyone have a good low protein recipe for dog food?
My 15 year old dog has been diagnosed with liver cancer and the vet has recommended a low protein diet. I have one recipe (shown below) but I was wondering if anyone else had any other recipes or suggestions. Thanks, everyone.
1/4 lb ground beef [do not use lean ground chuck]
2 cups cooked white rice [NO salt added]
1 hard cooked egg [finely chopped]
3 slices white bread crumbled
1 tspn calcium carbonate [Tums tablet]
that sounds good already.
is there any holistic vets in your area? you might want to consult them, they’ll come up with a customed diet based on your dog’s condition. Vitamin C when taken in certain amounts are very useful when treating cancers.
i would advise against going for conventional treatments like chemotherapy as they harm the body more than they heal. holistic treatment come in a huge assorted range, you can choose one that you’re most comfortable with. they’re natural, drug and toxin free.
personally i think holistic vets are your best bet, afterall what do you have to lose? although holistic treatments do not cure cancer, they ease the pain and discomfort, often allowing the animal to live a longer time. they treat the source of the problem instead of treating the symptoms which is what conventional treatments concentrate on.
